It’s fair to say it’s been a mixed year for Neymar. The world’s most expensive player had a great season domestically with Paris Saint-Germain but suffered disappointment in a World Cup where he was better remembered by many for his theatrics than his football.

That resulted in a disappointing placing of 12th in the men’s Ballon d’Or awards on Monday. And as the stars of the world game arrived on the red carpet in Paris, Neymar opted not to make the short journey to the gala, instead streaming himself playing Call of Duty.

Along with teammates Marquinhos and Thiago Silva, the former Barcelona star can be seen having a ball, although he is killed pretty quickly in the game. The PSG star isn’t the only one who has taken a shine to Twitch, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Dele Alli huge fans of the streaming platform as well.

Apart from video games, Neymar is also in the spotlight for another reason. He’s been linked with David Beckham MLS new franchise. With the clock ticking toward Inter Miami CF’s inaugural season in 2020, Beckham is on the lookout for possible players for his new team and he’s already trying to recruit Neymar, the 26-year-old Brazilian star who currently plays for French club Paris Saint-Germain.
