Manchester United are in advanced talks to bring 18-year-old Ajax winger Justin Kluivert to Old Trafford in the summer, according to The Mirror. After signing Alexis Sanchez, the Red Devils are ready to plan their next move. Manager Jose Mourinho has known the teenager since he was a little boy, when he would come to Barcelona with his dad, Dutch star Patrick.
In those days Mourinho was a coach at the Nou Camp and has taken a special interest in Kluivert junior’s development. Now it is believed United are ready to agree a fee of around £10million with various add-ons for the Dutch Under-21 ace.
Justin Kluivert has made 29 appearances for the Ajax first team since making a breakthrough, scoring seven goals in all competitions, including a wonderful hat-trick against Roda JC last year. He finished the 2016/17 season with 20 appearances in all competitions, and he’s already made 19 so far this term.
The 18-year-old has been impressing for Ajax this term, featuring in 14 of their games and scoring five goals in the Eredivisie. Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move for the young Dutchman but Kluivert says it’s not on the cards.

“There will always be rumours, but not all is true”, Kluivert admitted. “I know as little as you guys do”, he added. The young kid has said in the past that he hopes to emulate his father’s career, but moving on to another club is something that he doesn’t seem ready to do just yet.
That may be because his contract with Ajax expires at the end of the 2018-19 season, shortly after he turns 20. “There are always rumours”, Kluivert repeated. “We all know that. Manchester has never come into the picture and it also is not a logical move”. Would you like watching Justin’s performances at Old Trafford? For sure, he’s a top-gun player!
